Foam Rollers & Trigger Point
Applying stretching, rolling & triggering modalities will help the fascia to soften and elongate. The myofascia is a web of tissue
connecting the 600-some-odds muscles in the body. Myofascia is much more susceptible to pain and sensation, especially the ITB,
     plantar and lower back area.
"Stretching a muscle with bound up or poorly adapted fascia is a bit like trying to stretch a knotted bungee cord: You'll get much

better results if you get the knots out first." (E.B., UQ-lecturer)
Pain at the knee cap
Patella-Femoral syndrome can have several causes; one being poor postural stability at the hips and pelvis!
Cryotherapy (Ice application)
Applying a wet towel of melted ice water for repeated periods of 10 minutes has shown to be most effective for muscular injury.
Well Being
You know the true value of your health only once it is gone.
Lower Back Pain
51% of patients with a history of average 10 years of back pain had noticeable improvement in their pain 1 week after being provided
with an individualized exercises training booklet.
Exercise & Breast Cancer
Exercise plays an important role in reducing the risk of breast cancer and increasing survival rate as well as correcting postural
changes and improving mood and quality of life post diagnosis of breast cancer. An Exercise Physiologist plays a key role in
educating breast cancer patients about the safety and physical & psychological benefits of exercise. Especially older women
adhered to exercise better when the instructor presented very knowledgeable and experienced not only about breast cancer but
associated conditions and aging. (Whitehead, 2009 & Emsley 2007)
Dementia
Persons aged 71-93 years old who walked less than 0.25 mi/day had an 1.8 fold increased incidence of cognitive impairment than
persons who walked 2 miles per day!

Sarcopenia (Muscle wasting related to aging)
Evidence has shown that when compared to other means of retaining muscle mass and reversing effects of sarcopenia, exercise is
not only more effective but when performed correctly has no side effects. The same cannot be said for other pharmaceutical means
of maintaining lean muscle mass such as exogenous testosterone and growth hormone administration.
