Why Should I do a Swim Biomechanics Assessment?
The greatest force you are facing while swimming is drag force; a force as great as the gravitational forces on land! This drag is even greater when you swim in open water where current and turbulences are present. Therefore the goal is to “streamline” and become as hydrodymanic as possible.
By improving your body position and stroke biomechanics and thus increasing your efficiency in the water you will significantly safe energy and gain speed.
In fact, to swim 10% faster one would have to increase power by 33%. At the same time, to swim 11% faster, one would have to increase efficiency (reduce drag) by only 10%!

Procedure
1. Initial interview to subjectively assess your ability
2. Video taping above water surface and under water
3. Determining areas of improvement
4. Education on proper swimming technique & streamlining and intervention of individual drills
5. Evaluation of interventions & Follow Up
